Nugget Markets To Celebrate Roseville Grand Opening
New store will open its doors Feb. 28
Roseville, California:
On February 28 at 9 a.m., the community is invited to the grand opening celebration of the Roseville Nugget Market, located in Park Plaza on the corner of Fairway Drive and Pleasant Grove Blvd. Nugget will offer the community a unique grocery shopping experience, bringing together conventional and specialty products in a European-marketplace setting.
“Our Roseville store is the best of our best! Our design team has done a phenomenal job creating an exciting destination, and associates from the entire company greatly contributed to growing our product selection and training our new associates,” Nugget CEO / President Eric Stille said. “We’re very grateful to the 1,700 talented people who applied to work at this store and are excited that a good portion of our 150 associates are from the Roseville area, giving us a strong connection to the community. The energy and enthusiasm are incredible, and we’re now looking forward to getting to know the rest of our new neighbors."
The local family-owned-and-operated store will feature Nugget’s signature produce, meat and seafood departments, a professional chef-led kitchen, an artisan bakery and patisserie, and extensive selections of wines, beers, spirits and healthy living products.
Shoppers familiar with Nugget Markets will find a multitude of new and exciting features at the Roseville location. Executive Chef Rachael Levine and staff will be creating a unique selection of seasonal dishes made from organic and locally grown ingredients. “Our kitchen is dedicated to preparing real food with true flavors. We do not mask our foods with preservatives to make them last longer. We don’t prepare dishes that are so complicated that the natural flavor of the components is lost. It’s quite simple, but it’s what sets us apart,” Levine said. Handmade, hearth-baked pizzas, a wide selection of artisan breads and Italian gelato are just a few of the many offerings Nugget’s kitchen will showcase. The healthy living department will debut nutritionist Anne Dryer, along with a Healthy Living Resource Center. And Nugget’s wine department will offer the largest premium imported wine selection in the area.
Recently recognized by Fortune magazine, Nugget Market, Inc. is ranked No. 13 on the “100 Best Companies to Work For” list, up from No. 33 in 2006. “The Stilles really take care of their guests and associates,” said Store Director Angel Nolasco, who started out as a grocery bagger with Nugget in 1991. “Our guests are our No. 1 priority. Our associates are our No. 1 asset. It’s about making a difference in people’s lives.”
The Stille Family and associates invite the entire community to experience grocery shopping at its best. After the grand opening on February 28, the Park Plaza Nugget’s regular store hours will be 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.
